PhotonDrive ESC 150 is a hi-end ESC designed for Cinelifters, large drones or model aircraft. PhotonDrive is a company from the Czech Republic, where the ESC was also designed.
PhotonDrive ESC 150 supports up to 15S Lipo battery power and short-term current up to 150A. Typical use is with a 12S Lipo battery and 60A continuous current without a heat sink. The ESC uses an 8 layer PCB, 32 bit processor STM32G431. The ESC is protected against electrostatic discharge. Voltage peaks from the motors are absorbed by the TVS diode. The ESC monitors the passing current and temperature.
The ESC uses ESCape32 firmware. It supports both PWM input and bidirectional DSHOT. If required, the ESC can also be controlled via UART or iBus, SBUS and CRSF protocols. Output telemetry is supported via UART protocols KISS, iBUS, S.Port and CRSF. ESCape32 has an adjustable variable output PWM frequency in the range of 15-96kHz, sinusoidal startup, overcurrent and overtemperature protection and more user-configurable features.
The ESC is already equipped with an external capacitor. Flashing pads are also available for easy updating or uploading other firmware.
