GEPRC Tern-LR40 is a small 4" frame suitable for building a drone with analog or digital image transmission. The drone is especially ideal for cruise or long-range. Due to its low weight, it is quiet and has a long flight time. The frame has a deadcat arm layout, where the front arms are moved more to the side and back so that there are no distracting propeller edges in the FPV camera image. The camera is protected by sides made of durable 7075 aluminum alloy. The Tern-LR40 is equipped with a GPS module mount. The GPS is mounted on a raised leg, making it further away from electromagnetic interference from the rest of the drone. This aids in faster retrieval of satellites. At the front, is a mount for lightweight HD cameras like the Naked GoPro.
The frame has arms cut from 3.5mm thick carbon fiber. There are holes in the center of the frame for mounting a stack with 20x20mm and 25.5x25.5mm spacing. There are also mounting holes in the rear of the frame with spacing 20x20mm and 25,5x25,5mm for mounting the video transmitter. The frame accommodates motors with 9mm M2 mounting holes.
