The AOS R5 is a high-end racing frame that will be appreciated by beginners and the most demanding pilots. The frame is unique in the way it mounts the stack - the so-called X-Cell mount. The part of the bottom plate on which the stack is installed is connected to the rest of the frame only on 4 small parts, which are placed in standing wave nodes. This allows less unwanted vibration to be transmitted to the gyro of the flight controller. This allows the use of less aggressive filters and higher PID values, resulting in better flight characteristics. To further minimize vibration, the frame uses durable arms made of 6mm thick carbon fiber.
AOS R5 is designed as a racing frame for building a drone with analog and digital transmission (HDZero, Walksnail Avatar). The frame can hold up to 5.3" propellers, 20x20mm M3 stacks and 16mm M3 motors. The spacing of the standoffs is 20mm and the frame is thus compatible with a variety of ready-made 3D prints for camera and antenna mounting. On the top plate there are mounting holes with spacing 20x20mm and 25,5x25,5mm M2, which can be used for the mounting the video transmitter. The nano size (14mm) camera is mounted in a 3D printed bracket. The frame uses a bottom and middle plate. The lipo strap is thus stretched between the plates and does not rub against the ESCs.
